The HTC  Windows Phone 8X is a Windows phone  which is  has the dimensions of 132 x 66.2 x 10.1mm and it weighs 130 g. It is powered by Chipset Qualcomm MSM8960 Snapdragon with CPU Dual-core 1.5 GHz Krait The  8X has 16GB of internal storage, and 7GB of free Microsoft Skydrive storage. It has an inbuilt 1GB RAM system memory It is compatible with 2G 3G and 4G networks. The SIM is of Micro – SIM type. The display area of 8X's 4.3-inch with HD 1,280x720-pixel resolution with touch screen. It is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass

A 2-megapixel front-facing camera has been provided. On the backside we find a 8-megapixel camera with LED flash. The instrument is provided with a 3.5mm headset jack the sensors include Accelerometer, proximity, and compass There is no card slot provided. Vibration and MP3 ringtones are provided for alert. For charging the phone a Micro-USB port is in the bottom.  One thing to note is the battery cannot be removed because it is embedded 

This phone comes with a variety of pre-loaded applications like the Camera, Office 2013 suite, Wallet, Flashlight, Converter (used mostly for temperature and currency conversion). Code Scanner, Family Map, Navigator, AT&T Radio, U-Verse Live TV, Calculator, and  photo enhance are some of the features worth mentioning  there is GPS but no Java For connectivity GPRS, EDGE, WLAN and Bluetooth have been provided.

To write something about camera it must be mentioned that the 8X has an 8-megapixel camera, with a default setting of 6 megapixels 8X's backside illuminated camera is very good. The color and sharpness too are satisfactory according to user reviews.

The phone comes with a soft-touch finish, curved back, its design makes it comfortable to carry around and easy handling. Its available in four shades namely California Blue, Graphite Black, Flame Red, Limelight Yellow
