40 million Windows 8 licenses have been sold ?

I picked up another story from the internet which says 40 million Windows 8 licenses have been sold since the day it was launched. 

Since the day the windows 8 was launched we have been hearing some critical views about it. This is quite understandable since the platform is all new and different from what we have seen or accustomed to. What is interesting about the number is not that high as expected. Some critics have the view that Microsoft could do better if it upgrades the Windows 8. Microsoft may certainly have got their feed backs now, and it will be interesting to watch what it is going to do about it.
