Following the Asus and Lenovo , Acer too has decided to launch its Windows 8
tablet: The Iconia W700 at $799.99 will
be the price when it becomes available on October 26, on the Windows 8 launch day.
The W700 features an 11.6-inch
IPS display.1,920x1,080 full HD resolution. The model comes with a Bluetooth
keyboard. Acer is probably catering to customers who would prefer utilizing Windows
8 tablet instead of a laptop .A docking cradle that lets positioning the W700
is also made available for the users who could position the tablet the way they
need.
A choice of processors is
offered for W700. One is Intel Ivy Bridge Core i3 and the other is Core i5. Storage
too has a choice of 64GB or 128GB of SSD. A front-facing webcam and a
rear-facing 5-megapixel digital camera with 1080p video-recording capabilities
have been provided. Shipped along with a keyboard, a Micro-HDMI-to-VGA adapter
and a protective case.
