Free Anti Virus- Comodo

Today, I would like write about another popular free Antivirus software -  Comodo Anti Virus from Comodo Group.

While installing this program the users will have to be attentive, because the installer will install a program called GeekBuddy, which is actually not necessary. Apart from this the program does not show any nagging screen. The installation will require a reboot like all other antivirus programs. The installer also checks for any updates before the installation.

While on the use, the Comodo has a tendency to place some known safe to run programs also in the Sandbox. (The Sandbox feature is now becoming a standard in many antivirus programs). The user has to add or instruct the Comodo about the safe or known programs in order to avoid delays in running the programs of their choice.   Here I would like to mention a feature called Game Mode in which the virus scanning is scaled down or halted allowing the users to use any games with ease. Comodo does three types of scanning like a full scan, Critical Areas Scan, and Spyware Scan.

Perhaps the most desirable factor of this program lies in the speed. One more thing is it has been programmed for upgrades of definition files 4 times a day.
Support is provided via its website, hence no help files have been included.

After reading many reviews, it can be safely said that this antivirus program is fast in detection and scanning and an overall rating of Fair can be assigned.
