Asus to launch Phablet in the Indian market




The Indian market is likely to see a new product from notebook maker Asus.  Asus has launched a Phablet called Fonepad. This is a tablet runs on Android 4.1 platform with 3G connectivity.  It is powered followed by Intel processor.

Phablets have the advantage of combining phone and a tablet. By incorporating 3G mobile data connectivity makes it is an attractive device. The Indian market is growing, especially in the communication sector. This is a time when users are interested in having a phone that could match the skills of a computer and also could be used as a phone. The most important advantage is the portability of the instrument. Asus estimates that India will be a big market for Phablets in the Asia Pacific zone

The Fonepad is powered by Atom processor Z2420. It weighs 340 grams and 10.4 mm thickness. it has 8 GB internal memory and provision for a  to 32 GB additional storage by way of microSD. According to the company the Fonepad has up to nine hours of battery life. It has a 1.2 mega pixel front camera and a 3 mega pixel rear camera. The Phablet has ability to do 720p HD video recording. The Fonepad in incorporated with sports ASUS SonicMaster audio technology and MaxxAudio 3 to enhance the sound quality. 

The Fonepad carries a price tag of Rs 15,999, which too seems to very competitive.
